Originally a longways triple minor published in: Dancing Master Volume 1, editions 11-18, Henty Playford & John Young (1701-1728); Compleat Country Dancing Master Volume 1, John Walsh, 1718, 1731 & 1735 editions
In his original adaptation (1985) Charles was faithful to the original except that he used the 2s below (duple minor), instead of the 3s (triple minor), as 'posts' for the figure of eight in B2. In this adaptation (2000) Charles has both couples active in B2 with a full double figure of eight and omits the final two-hand turn.
In the Playford Assembly (2015) Graham Christian provides Charles's 1985 adaptation and notes that it is common practice for couple #2 to join in the two-hand turn in B2 (Christian mistakenly says B1).
