Notes
1
Dancers should be encouraged to use the courtesy turn in the 'ladies chain' to 'Pass the Ocean' transition, as the timing is tight.
2
In Pass the Ocean the men cross the set, orbiting slightly to their left, while the ladies do a left-hand turn ¼ in the center of the set to make a wavy line by taking right hand with their neighbor.
3
The B2 into A1 transition of 'swing' to a 'wavy line' is not easy, but is especially good if you time the end of the swing well. When teaching this dance you will need to concentrate on getting the men to end the swing early enough and smoothly to allow the lady to get into position and be facing in the correct direction. Definitely a dance for 'good' dancers. Probably not suitable for beginners or 'hot-shots'.
